Abstract

In December 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Kayong Utara Regency of 2.21 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.73.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in eight expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.86 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.33 percent; the health group by 0.14 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.48 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.11 percent; the education group by 0.20 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.76 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 6.91 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in index were: the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.64 percent; the household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0.11 percent; and the transportation group by 0.07 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate of Kayong Utara Regency in December 2024 was 0.48 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 2.21 percent.
